Hayes Brothers Funeral Homes has been serving Fern Park and Eustis area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.

The year 1984 is when the giving first started. The two brothers in Lake County ventured to begin rendering services for their community. Donald Hayes, Sr. and Tommy Hayes, III launched Hayes Brothers Funeral Home in Eustis. The mission of this partnership was to minister to the needs of those families experiencing death and bereavement. With a need as great as this one, the extension of services became very apparent. Other civic and social concerns surfaced and the Hayes Brothers joined in with churches and organizations to help attend to some of the community’s issues.

Giving back to the community has been a vital part of both of the Hayes Brothers since they formed their partnership. With the county being so closed-knitted, it became easy to reach out and help the young people, the senior citizens; the county at-large. Although there are programs already in existence, an extra hand or one more donation never hurts. Hayes’ motto “offering the helping hand” has carried an array of connotations. Hayes Brothers Funeral Home has sponsored a junior league basketball team, a girl scout troupe, a summer youth choir, scholarships, toys at Christmas, Easter egg hunts, Golden Years (senior citizens) Mass Choir and assisted with church sponsored empowerment events.

Twenty years later, the third generation of Hayes’ is actively involved in the funeral home’s mission to offer the helping hand. Senior Hayes, T.L., and grandson, Maurice, serve as Office and Operations Managers respectively in the Eustis and Altamonte Springs chapels. Providing food, counseling and legal referral assistance is the approach in this decade. Both grandfather and grandson initially meet and greet and help to access the needs of families.
